Each model sold as 'AI by Subscription' or 'Lifetime AI' (+$50-60). Kiwibit Plus $7.99/month or $89.99/year (compare-at $104.99); plan named inconsistently (Plus / Individual / Premium Family). (Kiwibit)
Over three years the plan costs about $270, so the Lifetime AI version pays for itself within the first year. Because Kiwibit records to a card, you keep your clips even without any plan.

Kiwibit baffle and pole kit
Kiwibit sells a 19-inch baffle ($19.99) and a 75-inch squirrel-proof pole kit ($59.99) for its feeders. Mount at about five feet with the baffle below, away from anything squirrels can jump from – see keeping squirrels off.

App ratings from owners
Every camera feeder lives or dies by its app – that is where the clips, the bird ID and the notifications are. Store ratings are the largest pool of owner opinions available, so here they are side by side.

Questions
Kiwibit review: questions
Does Kiwibit need a subscription?
Not to record: every Kiwibit takes a microSD card up to 512 GB and keeps one day of cloud clips for free. Advanced AI needs Kiwibit Plus ($7.99 a month or $89.99 a year) – or buy the Lifetime AI version, about $50 more once.
Is Kiwibit the same as Beako?
Beako is the name of Kiwibit's first-generation 4K AI feeder; the Bird Feeder 2, 2 Mini and 2 Pro are the newer models.
Does Kiwibit work on 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No – Kiwibit lists 2.4 GHz; its first-generation spec says 5 GHz is not supported.
Where are Kiwibit videos stored?
On the microSD card in the feeder, plus a free one-day rolling cloud; Kiwibit Plus extends the cloud.
